Terms of Service &
Pet Care Policies

Megan’s Pet Sitting of Charlottesville offers pet care services including, but not limited to, dog walking, pet sitting, feeding, medication administration, and basic grooming. All services are subject to availability and must be scheduled in advance.

• I provide services to dogs weighing up to 90 pounds (approximately the size of a Black Lab) or smaller.

• Pets must be up-to-date on vaccinations and free of contagious illnesses.

• I do not provide services to pets that exhibit aggressive behaviors, such as biting, lunging, or jumping at people with intent to attack.

• All services must be booked in advance, and a deposit may be required to secure the booking.

• Payments are due at the time of service or as agreed upon during booking. Acceptable payment methods include cash, check, and electronic payments via Venmo, PayPal, CashApp, or Zelle.

• Late payments may incur an additional fee.

• Cancellations must be made at least 12 hours in advance. Cancellations made with less notice may incur a cancellation fee.

• Refunds are provided at my discretion and may be subject to a cancellation fee.

• For the safety of both pets and people, I reserve the right to refuse service to any pet that shows signs of aggression or poses a risk.

• I am committed to providing a safe and positive experience for all pets and will take appropriate steps to ensure their well-being during the service.

• While I take every precaution to ensure the safety and well-being of your pet, Megan’s Pet Sitting of Charlottesville is not liable for any injuries, illnesses, or accidents that may occur while your pet is under my care, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

• Pet owners are responsible for any damage caused by their pets to property or to other pets or people during the service.

• In the event of a medical emergency, I will make every effort to contact the pet owner immediately. If the owner cannot be reached, I will seek veterinary care for the pet at the owner’s expense.

• Please provide up-to-date emergency contact information and any relevant medical history for your pet.

• I reserve the right to refuse service to any client or pet at my discretion, particularly in cases where safety concerns arise or if the pet’s behavior poses a risk.

• All client information, including personal and contact information, will be kept confidential and will not be shared with third parties without consent, except as required by law.

• These Terms of Service are subject to change at any time. Clients will be notified of any significant changes prior to their next scheduled service.

By booking a service with Megan’s Pet Sitting of Charlottesville, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms of Service.
